Final Result: FR5 | Modelling the performance of a Digital Supply Chain using a Digital Twin.
Responsible Partner: Sacmi
Duration: 30 months
Operative Unit: Imola (BO)
WP5 aims to develop a Digital Supply Chain Twin (DSCT) to model and optimise ceramic supply chains to improve environmental, social, economic and technological sustainability. A DSCT is a dynamic virtual representation of a real supply chain, used to predict behaviour and make short- and medium-term decisions.
Currently, there are no industry standards for implementing DSCTs, especially within the context of the circular economy, due to the diversity of information systems and lack of trust among stakeholders. This WP aims to bridge this gap by using advanced methodologies for modelling industrial plants and machinery, integrating objective functions and benchmarks to assess supply chain performance.
Expected outcomes include the creation of IT tools to automate supply chain performance assessments and enable more efficient scenario analyses.
In order to achieve the purpose of WP5, the activities described below have been planned.
