DESCRIPTION
WP4 focuses on the production of innovative additives for pre-industrial tile testing, using a new paste formulation developed in the project. The aim is to optimize the use of Italian raw materials, which have not been used so far due to difficulties in sourcing and adaptation to the production chain.
Methods based on scenario analysis and compliance will be used to ensure that the new formulations meet the company's performance standards. In addition, WP4 will apply the Digital Twin to the organizational system of a chemical company, enabling the simulation and evaluation of supply risk scenarios and organizational improvements.
This innovation will reduce environmental impact, lower costs and increase productivity. The Digital Twin approach makes a significant contribution to the chemical industry by improving the resilience and efficiency of production and procurement processes.
ACTIVITIES
In order to achieve the purpose of the WP, the activities described below have been planned.
4.1 Industrial prototyping of chemicals.Industrialization of chemical formulations for ceramics, validation of compliance and costs, reduction of environmental impact and implementation of production innovations at Z&S Ceramco. 4.2 Industrial prototyping of new Gresmalt slurry (WP 8.3).Prototype and test the new ceramic slurry with non-critical raw materials and chemical additives at Gresmalt or pilot plant. 4.3 Industrial application of new engobes and glazes.Production and testing of innovative glazes and engobes on ceramic bodies, verification of technical characteristics and industrial benefits with spray and DOD systems. 4.4 Experimenting and testing the Digital Twin (DT) in the chemical industry.Implement and test a digital twin in the chemical sector to track chemicals, optimize the supply chain and assess environmental and socio-economic impacts.
