The University of Brescia (UNIBS) is a public university founded in 1982 with its main campus in Brescia. With approximately 15,000 students, UNIBS is classified as a medium-sized university in Italy.

The university is organised into 8 faculties and 24 interdisciplinary research centres, covering a wide range of disciplines in the fields of engineering, economics, law and medicine. With more than 700 lecturers and researchers, UniBS offers a wide range of face-to-face and distance learning courses, integrating humanistic and scientific competences.

In VOLT, UNIBS is represented by the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
