The University of Pavia (UNIPV) is a public generalist university founded in 1361 with its main campus in Pavia. With almost 30,000 students and a teaching staff of over 900 professors and researchers, UNIPV is one of the oldest and most prestigious Italian universities.
The University is organised into 18 Departments, which offer 102 degree courses and boast a wide scientific production in all disciplines, from life sciences to humanities and social sciences, as well as mathematics, physics, engineering and natural sciences.
In the VOLT project, UNIPV is represented by the Departments of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, and Economics and Business Sciences, which bring transdisciplinary expertise in raw materials chemical-mineralogical characterization, in solid state chemistry and in the sustainability of production chains.
