The VOLT project officially kicked off on January 8, 2024, following the conclusion of the evaluation process conducted by CNR-ISSMC and UniCredit Banca on behalf of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy. This milestone marks the project's entry into the operational phase, after completion of the required technical and administrative checks.
The successful completion of the evaluation process represents a key moment in the life cycle of a research and development project. The assessments carried out by the appointed bodies confirm the consistency of the project with its stated objectives, the soundness of its technical framework, and the adequacy of its management and monitoring procedures.
Following the formal launch, the project kick-off meeting was held on April 17, 2024, with the participation of all the partners involved. The meeting, held online, aimed to align the participants on the overall organization of the project and the operational procedures planned for its implementation.
The kick-off meeting is a key moment for the coordinated start of activities. During the meeting, essential information about the project is shared, the roles of the various partners are clarified, and the first actions necessary to ensure effective and consistent implementation are defined.
During the meeting, the Management Committee was formally established, a body responsible for coordinating project activities and supporting the decision-making process. The Committee plays a central role in ensuring the smooth progress of the project, promoting dialogue between partners and compliance with the planned timetable.
Another important point of the meeting was the presentation of the activity monitoring tools. These tools are essential for tracking the progress of the project, verifying compliance with the schedule, and documenting the results obtained during the various operational phases in a structured manner.
In addition to the monitoring tools, the methods for sharing content and results among partners were also illustrated. The availability of common tools facilitates collaboration, ensures the traceability of activities, and guarantees effective communication within the partnership.
Based on the project schedule, the kick-off meeting also established how to start activities for each implementation objective. This phase is particularly important for translating project planning into concrete actions, defining timelines, responsibilities, and interactions between the various planned activities.
The start of activities and the kick-off meeting therefore mark the beginning of the implementation phase of the VOLT project. The coming months will be dedicated to the development of the planned activities, in accordance with the defined organizational structure and shared monitoring tools, with the aim of ensuring orderly progress consistent with what was established in the planning phase.
